Layout questions

» I'm new to this. How do I add layout on my profile?

Remember to remove all your old layout codes first to make sure your layout will work properly.

For 1.0 layout:
1. Copy the 1.0 Layout Code (make sure it is a 1.0 code, the code for 2.0 will NOT work!)
2. Go to "Edit Profile" on your Myspace
3. Paste the code to your "About Me" section.
4. Click "Save Changes" button.

For 2.0 layout:
1. Copy the code of your desired 2.0 layout
2. Go to customize profile and place the given codes in css section.

» How do I know if it's a profile 2.0 or profile 1.0?

New people who sign up from April 2009 automatically gets profile 2.0.

» I put a new layout up, but how come my old layout is still showing up.

It may be one of these reasons: First, it might take a while for updates to show up, try refreshing the page or press F5 to update it. In 2.0 layouts, sometimes, previewing new layout codes does not work properly so you won't see any constant update, you should press "preview button" twice to make sure. Second, it's maybe because you didn't remove your old layout code. You should remove the old one before placing new codes. If you are having a hard time to find your old layout codes, the new layout must be placed after the old one.

» I have selected "NO THEME" and I pressed the preview button, but I don't see any changes. How come?

Sometimes myspace gives an error when previewing new layout codes, you should press "preview button" twice to make sure.

» Your myspace 2.0 layouts won't work on my profile!

You probably didn't follow the instruction carefully. Click here for step by step instruction. Don't worry, it only takes 1-2 minutes to learn. :)

» In 2.0 profile, myspace asks me this question: "Keep Custom Styles or Remove?" Which should I choose?

» I tried using a 2.0 layout, but it was all stretched out. I couldn't even see the background. How can I fix it?

Some of our layouts doesn't have it's exact width for some reasons. You could fix this by going to profile » customize profile. In change layout section, select 960px or 750px as your page width.

» How can I switch back to Profile 1.0?

Once you upgrade to profile 2.0, which offers advanced design and privacy functions. You cannot switch to profile 1.0 again.

Important: If you signed up for MySpace after April 1, 2009, you are automatically using profile 2.0, which offers advanced design and privacy functions. You cannot switch to profile 1.0.

» I used a code to hide my music player. I want to change my music but I can't because the music is hidden. How can I fix this?

1. Go to Profile » My Playlists
2. You can change your music in there.
